Support for seniors: The Elder advocate works with seniors and/or their caregivers to help find resources and connect them with services & supports. No fees – MaineCare is not required. For more information contact WHCA.

Family Advocate (Services through WHCA): 598-5648
Support for people who need help tackling an issue and finding the resources that may be available to them.

Whether it be housing, finding a job, changing careers, finding reliable transportation, childcare, any kind of life issue their Family Advocate will work with you to get the right supports and systems in place. The Family Advocate can come to your home to work with you or you can meet at the WHCA offices or another location convenient to you. No fees – MaineCare is not required.

Financial Coach (through the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau): 907-0152
Meet with a financial coach for advice on issues from debt help, choosing student loans, avoiding foreclosure, starting up a business, retirement planning, etc…  Services are free to anyone in Washington County regardless of income.  Email: jconnors@afsc.com

The Heat Coach can work with families on finding fuel assistance & help heating your home, also can help with ideas for making your home more fuel efficient and draft resistant.
