Neighbor4Neighbor Senior Mini Grants: 255-3741
Mini grants provide funds for wheelchair ramps or handrails, medical equipment (including eyeglasses, hearing aids, and dentures) and support services that can assist seniors (65 years and up) to maintain quality of life and remain independent in their homes (low income guidelines apply).  Call for more information

Neighbors Helping Neighbors:
Based out of East Machias, this program organizes volunteers to provide essential services to the homes of folks in need of help. The services include roof repairs, wheelchair ramps, decks, painting and other repairs. Transitional housing available for families in need who have left an abusive situation and are involved in Next Step’s programs.  Families can stay up to two years in transitional housing
