Saturday June 7th will be the start of a free outdoor summer film festival in Machias. Sponsored by the Machias Bay Chamber of Commerce, the films will be shown at Station 98 in Machias every other Saturday beginning one hour before sunset. Kicking off the festival will be the family favorite “The Wizard of Oz” and special prizes will be awarded for viewers who come dressed in costumes inspired by the film. Bring your kids and a blanket for everyone to curl up on. Other movies scheduled for the summer are:
June 21 “Frozen”
July 5 “Charlotte’s Web”
July 19 “The Sandlot”
August 2 “We Bought A Zoo”
August 16 “Horton Hears A Who”
August 30 “Raiders of The Lost Ark”
